The designer had been called to take care of the set design of the Piccolo Teatro in Milan and created with Arflex an armchair completely covered in foam rubber, which was considered highly innovative at the time. However, the present-day version of the Antropus armchair by Cassina is made of polyurethane foam CFC free that allows the seat to be shaped into the ample and comfortable forms that characterize it. The volume of the armchair is contained by the slender and curving profile of the side panels. The feet are in black plastic, while the upholstery is available in leather or fabric. The Antropus armchair by Cassina is also available in the original iconic red fabric upholstery.
