The Cab chair was able to define an entire decade and has long remained a successful model in the field of chairs. This piece of furniture is a testimony of the golden age of Italian design, dating back to 1977 and signed by Mario Bellini, who achieved international fame thanks to this famous creation. Available both without armrests and as a small armchair, it is a handcrafted masterpiece made up of 16 elements, skilfully crafted and fitted onto a sturdy steel supporting structure. Like a bespoke tailored suit, the lining is sewn entirely by hand and closed with zips.

The Cab chair is available in different color options and in two seat sizes, thus offering a variety of choices to adapt to personal needs. New types of Plus leather are also available for the upholstery, made in pure aniline, and some variants with a hand-shaded effect on a natural base. The structure of the chair is made of black painted tubular steel, while the backrest is made of black plastic material. The padding is made of cold-foamed flexible polyurethane foam. The feet of the chair are made of black plastic material, with the option of adding adhesive felt pads to prevent scratches on the floors.

The Cab chair by Cassina represents a perfect combination of traditional craftsmanship, innovative design and comfort, confirming its status as an icon in the furniture world. Today, the chair adapts to contemporary needs, also offering an XL version 5 cm deeper and a Baby version, both made with the same craftsmanship. The Cab collection also includes a table and lounge armchair.
