The Capitol Complex sofa is part of the collection of the same name designed by Pierre Jeanneret as a tribute to Le Corbusier's work in India. A pioneer in the use of reinforced concrete for architecture, Le Corbusier was also one of the fathers of contemporary urban planning. He designed Chandigarh, a modernist city where we find the Capitol Complex currently included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site. A distinctive feature of the entire collection is the iconic wooden structure in the shape of an inverted "V," which we also find in the Capitol Complex sofa. The 'padding envelops, not only the seat and back of this designer seat, but also the armrests forming a rounded silhouette that returns an idea of immediate comfort.
