In the workmanship of the Principi chair, as it is conceived, the highest quality and expertise of Cassina's craftsmen is brought out. Four hours of fine carpentry work are required to obtain the finished product, starting from the wood to the creation of the crosspieces from the curved end, passing through the sanding and gluing of the parts. The object represents an icon of design, stemming from the golden age of Cassina's collaboration with the great architect Gio Ponti, from whom it acquires a defined and refined trait. The seat is characterised by an open-pore ash frame, while the backrest enhances comfort thanks to its diamond workmanship.
The structure is available in different colours: white, Vermilion Red, Sky Blue and black, inspired by Ponti's own ceramics.
For the seat, made with a polyurethane padded cushion, upholstery is available in the wide range of fabrics and leathers from the Cassina collection.
