Designed by Patricia Urquiola for Cassina, the Sengu Bold is a modular sofa that embodies contemporary design, capturing the generous volumes and simple geometries of its predecessor. This new model ditches the Japanese-inspired wooden base and boldly brings the soft curves directly to the ground, emphasizing its welcoming and comfortable nature, while encapsulating the style and quality of the Italian brand. The Sengu Bold is conceived as a seating system that promotes a convivial and intimate atmosphere, with its open forms inviting conversation.

The structure of the Sengu Bold sofa is made of multilayered wood with elastic straps, while the cushions are filled with expanded polyurethane and blown PET fiber, developed through a collaboration between Cassina's Research and Development Center and the Poli.design of the Politecnico di Milano. The upholstery fabrics have also been reimagined in a bold manner, with expanded patterns that further accentuate the soft lines of the padding.

To create customizable and complete compositions for the living area, the Sengu collection also includes coffee tables characterized by the same wooden base as the original Sengu Sofa. Like most Cassina sofas and armchairs, the Sengu Bold is also available with leather upholstery .Additionally, a round low table with a glass or marble top has been added. For bringing the style into the dining area, the Sengu table is also available.

The Sengu Bold sofa is available in the linear version in two sizes:
2 Seater sofa: inch 92.8" in wide, 42" in depth, 33.5" in high (cm.236x107x85h)
3 Seater sofa: inch 108.7" in wide, 42" in depth, 33.5" in high (cm 276xx107x85h)

The Sengu bold has a wide variety of modules available, including centrepieces, cornerpieces, endpieces, peninsulas and chaises longues, allowing for endless original compositions, making it ideal for furnishing any type of living space.

Technology and Comfort: The Sengu Bold sofa features a structure crafted from multilayered wood with elastic straps, providing both durability and comfort. Its cushions boast a filling of expanded polyurethane and blown PET fiber, a result of a collaborative effort between Cassina's Research and Development Center and the Poli.design of Politecnico di Milano.The backrest cushions are filled with blown recycled PET fiber, ensuring consistent support and sustainability throughout the sofa's design.
