Sengu Table Cassina

Expanding the Sengu family, Patricia Urquiola introduces the dining table. After the modular sofa and the coffee tables and low tables, she takes us to Japan with the table, a sculpture that celebrates conviviality through the skillful use of different materials that, combined, represent a tactile and visual sensibility as well as a material one. The table, traditionally a symbol of togetherness and sharing, has evolved from a simple functional piece of furniture to become one of the elements that sets the mood of a home. The choice between round and oval shapes, the striking presence given by the combination of different materials and finishes, makes the Sengu table a contemporary and novel form of luxury. The base of the Sengu Table is composed of a cylindrical column, available in marble or colored ceramics, and three solid wood columns connected to each other by beams. Resting on this structure is an oval or round top, which can be paired with either the wooden base or the cylindrical column. The round version of the Sengu Table offers the possibility of adding a revolving central top, reminiscent of Asian culture. The round top is available in different sizes to meet various needs.
