The Tamburound Armchair by Cassina is a creation of the British duo, Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby, who developed the eponymous line of seats with an informal and versatile design. One aspect that makes the product unique is the presence of a complete rotation of both the backrest and the seat: Tamburound's internal mechanisms resemble the movements of satellites orbiting a planet. The independent rotation allows complete freedom of movement in all directions with extreme simplicity.
Compared to the Tamburound Small Armchair, the Tamburound Armchair distinguishes itself with a larger, more voluminous dimension, featuring a structure that minimizes the use of foamed elements. Cassina maintains a high focus on reducing the environmental impact of its products, committing also with Tamburound to use circular materials. Its rounded volume makes it a youthful seat, particularly suitable for relaxed and convivial environments.
The Tamburound Armchair is available in the following dimensions: Inch 27,3" in wide, 28" in deep, 29,4" in high (cm. 69x71x75h).
The upholstery is available in a variety of different types: the painted structure allows for multiple color combinations with removable fabric or leather upholstery. Even the bracket connecting the seat and backrest is offered in a wide range of colors.
