Through a slow-design approach, with the Scott table, Cattelan and Studio 28's aim is to create designs that require deep reflection and accurate understanding, that can be re-evaluated over time and transferred to environments that reveal new aspects, adapting to the surrounding style. Good design is born at a specific time and in a specific context, but it must possess the qualities to endure over time and adapt to different situations. With the Scott collection of tables, Cattelan Italia continues its exploration into sculptural art. Each new collection features shapes and materials that increasingly emphasise the artistic and decorative aspect of interior design. Inspired by modern sculptural techniques and applying them to design, new bases are created for contemporary design tables, such as the Scott family, which demand to be contemplated as works of art.

The model features a central base consisting of two overlapping curved metal plates, similar to the collar of a shirt. The visual effect is rigid, with well-defined edges that emphasise the precise proportions and curves of the plates. A new exclusive finish is introduced for the base of this modern dining table, specially created to enhance the Scott model. The Oxybrass finish, made of oxidised brass, is hand-brushed and has an oxidation tinge that darkens towards the base. For the table tops, the ceramic collection is further extended with the new Borghini Calacatta ceramic, which features vibrant shades from deep ochre to shaded grey on a delicate milky background.

The family includes three table variants. Two with a designer ceramic top, the Scott Keramik and the Scott Keramik Premium, and one with a wooden top, the Scott Wood. The Scott Keramik model boasts an elegant ceramic top with a marble effect, available in numerous shades to suit different preferences: Alabaster, Supreme , Golden Calacatta matt, Golden Calacatta polished, Portoro matt, Portoro polished, Sahara Noir polished, Makalu , Breccia, Arenal, Corcovado, Kaindy and the two new Borghini Calacatta. The metal base comes in a choice of titanium, bronze or Oxybrass embossed painted steel finishes. Available in different rectangular sizes with or without shaped edges.
