Yaku Table Gervasoni

Yaku Table by GABRIELE - OSCAR BURATTI

Inspired by the island of Yakushima, from the Ōsumi Islands archipelago, Yaku is a hymn to wood in its purest forms and combines simple elements with refined compositions. The idea is to celebrate wood as a raw material, the island being enveloped by a forest, and this element is precisely presented in its essentiality. The elements that make up the Yaku table bear sharp cuts that highlight refined sections and proportions, overlapping and spaced to give space to delicate vanishing lines. This pattern, intentionally created by Gabriele and Oscar Buratti, seems to recall 'ancient oriental interlocking game designed to create symmetrical three-dimensional units.

The Yaku table and Yaku bench are characterized by linearity, simplicity and elegance, in which wood and its grain have been given a starring role.

The Yaku table is available in two sizes, with a fixed top only. Legs and top are made of MDF covered with multilaminar wood veneer in three special colors: Cherry, Ash and Obsidian.
