When Kartell's Louis Ghost Chair appeared on the design scene thanks to the work of the designer Philippe Starck, it revolutionized the use of polycarbonate in furniture. Louis Ghost is made from a single mold of transparent or coloured polycarbonate, even in a fire-resistant version. Despite its innovative character, it has a traditional baroque silhouette with a Louis XV design.
