"We wanted to bare materials to let nature be ornament enough itself", declares Patrick Jouin creator of the Osmose table, an ideal choice to enrich any room with a touch of elegance and style. Consisting simply of a top and a base, the table has long been considered an indispensable tool for life. The Osmose table is a celebration of the chance encounter between marble and wood, the transformation of a sliver of mountain and a fragment of wood. The materials are cut without knowing what will be found inside, thus giving free expression to their natural patterns and producing pieces with a unique and unpredictable appearance.Playing on the union between the two materials, Osmose reverses the roles: the natural pattern of the marble legs is revealed embedded in the wooden top or, conversely, the wood grain is unmasked in the marble top.

The table top is carved from a wooden plank in Canaletta walnut with a shaped solid wood edge. The table top features marble inserts in the same finish as the legs, creating a perfect visual harmony.

Designed to be more than just supports, the table's five legs are seen as an aesthetic opportunity. Like dreamstones, the heart of the material is revealed for the eye to catch the patterns and images created by the natural contrast of its marks.
