Designed by the two brothers Maurizio and Davide Riva, designers and owners of the historic Italian furniture brand, Vitae is one of the most original and unusual products of the Riva 1920 collection.
The peculiar element of this stool, created from an entirely handmade block of wood and without the addition of any kind of treatment, is the spiral carving that runs along the whole height that recalls the shape of a mechanical screw, as it can be deduced from the name itself.
Available in two sizes with different heights, Vitae is made of natural cedar or walnut wood and enhanced by hand work carried out by master craftsmen of the Riva 1920 laboratories. The presence of imperfections or alterations of the wood over time are therefore to be considered an added value, a symptom of the total naturalness and quality of raw materials.
