The kinetic artwork Changing Mood, created by Sandro Tomassini, consists of four wooden panels painted with acrylic colors. Behind the first panel, which is white and features slits, there are two additional panels, each half the width of the first, with vertical stripes in various shades of gray. By sliding one panel to the left and the other to the right, the panels reveal the vibrant vertical stripes on the fourth background panel, which is as large as the first.

The sliding of the two panels with gray stripes can be gradual, revealing one or more of the underlying colors. The artist aims to give the viewer the opportunity to convey their current mood into the artwork: one can transition from black and gray, representing feelings of depression and sadness, to potential colored shades, and finally to extremely bright tones, symbolizing energy and positivity.
