OTI 11 – Colorful Geometric Encounters by SANDRO TOMASSINI

To describe the structure of the kinetic artwork OTI 11 – Colorful Geometric Encounters by Sandro Tomassini, one starts with a white wooden structure composed of a back panel and two shelves, one upper and one lower, which feature eight grooves where six pairs of complementary geometric shapes made of variously colored plexiglass are inserted. Each pair can be placed in a different groove so that, by sliding, they can form combinations of abstract shapes.

The shapes can also be inserted individually, and by using all the grooves, the number of possible combinations increases. This is the work from which the artist conceived the idea of the "Giostra dell’Arte" (Art Carousel). Along with slightly modified existing works and newly created ones, an interactive artistic path was realized, designed for everyone: adults, young people, children, with particular attention to those with visual disabilities.

Finally, art can be touched! In fact, it is necessary for the viewer to interact with the artwork to configure it in the way they prefer, according to the inspiration of the moment.
