The Illum collection, created by the designers Merckx & Maes in collaboration with Tribù, includes the Illum chair whose main feature is functionality, without compromising on comfort and refinement. Tribù creates this model using aluminium as an alternative to wood, outlined by soft and refined shapes. The backrest of the Illum chair is slightly reclined, giving the chair an inviting and comfortable appearance. The seat is made of Batyline, on which a delicate woven pattern is depicted. This choice emphasises the appearance and excellent quality of the material, as Batyline is an extremely strong fiber that is resistant to ultraviolet rays, dries quickly and is repellent to dirt and moisture.
